Meditation

This is how I can help you deal with personal and business issues.

The answer is Meditation and Brain Training. Please read on……

Meditation is an active training of the mind to increase awareness and different meditation techniques approach this in different ways. Meditation isn’t a magic bullet for depression, as no treatment is, but it’s one of the tools that may help manage symptoms.

Simply put for me, its Brain Training. I train my mind every day with different techniques just like I train my body with physical exercise. With Physical exercise we can do a variety of things to exercise the body from running through to weight training. Meditation is the same. There are so many different techniques that adapt to different needs. Would a long-distance runner think the best thing to do is to try and lift heavy weights and eat lots of protein? Probably not. So, when we face different mental challenges why do people revert to a “one solution” fits all approach. People will search on the internet for a “stress” meditation but does that stress mediation know what is stressing you out? Ultimately, we’re all wired differently and we all have different mindsets. There are many different techniques that can be used to help you. It’s so important that you first understand what is causing you a problem. From there we can build a foundation of understanding and resolving.

Researchers agree that an excellent way for professionals to increase the likelihood of success is to keep meditation practice as a part of their daily routine. Studies have revealed that both transcendent and mindful meditation practices improve the brain’s problem-solving and decision-making strategies, which can bring a desirable shift in our professional life.

Meditation has great calming effects. Research has shown that EEG activity actually decreases during meditation. Meditation also helps you to recharge so you have more energy throughout the day.

The practice increases the blood flow in your brain, and according to one neurophysiologist, “rewires the circuitry in your brain”.

It’s been proven that people who meditate need less sleep.

Meditation makes your brain age slower and increases the amount of grey matter in your brain. Grey matter is responsible for muscle control, seeing, hearing, memory, emotions, and speech.

Meditation makes it much easier to focus and achieve flow, that feeling of being completely immersed and energized by something. It also allows you to procrastinate less, and get more done in the same amount of time.

The practice has been even shown to boost students’ test scores.

Needless to say, there’s a lot of benefits to adopting a regular meditation practice, and these are just a few of them.
